THE DUTCH ROYAL COUPLE
Our Royal Couple King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima (married since 2002) have been King and Queen for a year now, after the King’s mother abdicated as Queen. And although, when I was younger, I never used to be too interested in the Royal Family, that has drastically changed over the past few years.
Not that I follow their every move, but I like them. Mainly for the fact that they’re Royalties but so down to earth and feel involved with the Dutch society. They’re human.

Now, I think Queen Máxima, originally from Argentina, played a big role in the transformation of our King, in terms of the accessible and relaxed person he is. Because that’s what Queen Máxima is apart from gorgeous, smart, elegant, exotic, vibrant, classy, charming, stylish, people’s person, caring and so on: she’s warm, relaxed and accessible. With her smile as her permanent accessory.

Máxima is not only our queen, but she is THE fashion queen. Of course, as a Queen she gets to choose from a wide range of well-known and less famous designers, she’s got stylists, personal shoppers and whatever more, but I do believe that it’s her true sense of style that makes her look the way she does. And whether it’s for a big event with the King, a simple ceremony she’s attending by herself or a casual biking day, the Dutch Queen simply never goes wrong. She’s always up to date with the latest trends from head to toe and knows how to translate it into Royalty proof looks!
